Northampton Gateway

This Strategic Rail Freight Interchange will provide over 5 million sqft of logistics space, with a direct connection to both M1 Junction 15 and the West coast main train line. Of national importance, the proposal was granted Planning directly by The Secretary of State in 2019. The scheme brings considerable benefits to the surrounding context with major improvements to traffic flow on Junction 15, a new by-pass to the village of Roade, and other rural road improvements, although no freight will be permitted on these roads.

The scheme takes advantage of existing transport infrastructure layout and topography and will have minimal impact on the surrounding landscape.
